Q.1 Attempt any ten of the following short answer questions.

(d) What are the ingredients of effective leadership.
(e) What is ADR.
(f) List important motivational tools in a global context.
(g) What are Indian sources of competitive advantage.
(h) What are the sources of manpower in the context of a techocommerical multinational.
(i) What do you understand by the term entry strategy.
(j) Differentiate between managing a domestic company and an international company.
(k) Differentiate between a merger and an acquisition.

Q.2 Critically evaluate Maslow’s and need hierarchy in term of its ability to
explain the motivation of the workforce today. What additional insights
would you require to effectively motivate the workforce in a globally
managed company.

Q.3 “Effective Leadership is highly situational”. Do you agree? Analyze the
above statement in the light of what you know about effective leadership.

Q.4 For a multinational company what are the benefits and pitfalls associated
under using expatiate managers and host country nationals. Explain by
taking the examples of multinationals operating in India.
