Answer any FOUR of the following questions in essay type.
6. How India’s foreign policy was formulated in the initial stages of our independence
and highlight the underlying principles that guided the infant democracy.
7. Explain the causes for the 1971 liberation war of Bangladesh and write the role of
Mukti-Bahimi in the process of liberation.
8. Examine the various treaties signed between India and Sri Lanka with regards to the
Tamils
9. Write an essay of India’s relationship with Maldives.
10.Describe the ‘Simla Agreement’ between India and Pakistan and give reasons why it
is not being followed
11. Narrate the events leading to Blue Star operation in Punjab and write how terrorism,
was curbed in Punjab.
12. Give an account of the goals, achievements and limitations of the SAARC.
