VADODARA:A conference on activating recommendations of the national curriculum framework (NCF) -2005 will be held in the city on Saturday.

The conference is being organised by Gyan Sarovar ,which is central Gujarat's Sahodaya School complex a group of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) schools.The day-long conference will be held at Bright Day School, Vasna.

Sahodaya School complex is a group of neighbouring CBSE schools voluntarily coming to share their innovative and creative practices in all aspects of school education that encompass curriculum design, evaluation,policy implementation,pedagogy and also providing support services for teachers and students.


The conference will witness participation of 37 principals and 47 teachers of various CBSE schools from across central Gujarat.

"The purpose behind organising this conference is to make the teaching community aware of National Council of Educational Research and Training's framework for creating syllabi and enable it to effectively implement the various recommendations prescribed by NCF2005,"said Priyadarshini Kelkar,chairperson of Gyan Sarovar.

"The conference will provide insights into incorporating teaching methodologies that will help in balancing the physical and mental burden of the students.It wil lalso enable teachers to effectively implement creative and innovative teaching practices to help students learn better,"she said.

The participants will make paper presentations on varied subjects including 'peace education'and'peer learning'followed by deliberations.

Gyan Sarovar conducts educational workshops and conferences for teachers on a regular basis.
