Indore : Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has decided to take legal advice on fate of state civil service examination-2012, after Special Task Force (STF) submitted its probe report confirming leak of the exam paper.

The report of the STF was kept in a meeting of MPPSC on Thursday wherein officials decided to send the report for legal advice.

“Such cases are always dealt with after taking legal advices. We have also decided the same,” an officer of MPPSC said pleading anonymity.

The officer said that the legal advice would reach them by next week which would be put forth before the MPPSC apex body for action.

This means that the decision on the fate of 2012 exam is won’t come this week.

It is to be noted that candidates, who were declared qualified in the main exams held in 2012 but their interviews were suspended after it came to fore that paper of the exams was leaked, on Wednesday had threatened of going on indefinite hunger strike from September 26 if date of their interviews was announced.

Sources said that the MPPSC officials are convincing candidates not to go on strike.

Nearly, 1160 candidates had qualified for the interview round of PSC- 2012. The MPPSC was to conduct interviews from July 30.

But in the first week of July, a gang involved in paper leak case was busted in Delhi and its members admitted to have leaked paper of MPPSC- 2012 as well. Following the news, the MPPSC suspended the interviews.

The STF that is probed into the matter confirmed that paper of MPPSC- 2012 was leaked by the gang. Since all eyes are on MPPSC for the fate of the exam.
