The Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) of Delhi University (DU) has decided to use Common Admission Test 2014 (CAT 2014) scores for admission to the academic year 2015-17 in the two-year full time course of Master of Business Administration (MBA) with 216 seats for applicants.

The second phase of admissions after shortlisting the candidates will involve a Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds for further selection. The final selection will be based on the cumulative performance of the candidate in the CAT examination, GD and PI as well as previous work experience and academic profile of the candidate.

The applications to the FMS course will be accepted online only. The admission calendar too for MBA at FMS will be released shortly. Due to a change in the selection pattern, DU will no longer conduct entrance examination of the applicants as FMS will be using CAT 2014 scores to shortlist candidates for its MBA 2015-17 programme.

However, it is to be noted that the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) do not have any role in the selection process of FMS or in delivering the MBA programme.

Candidates are required to note that CAT 2014 will be conducted on Sunday, November 16 and Saturday, November 22, 2014. The result too is expected to be announced in the third week of December, 2014. The last date for online registration for CAT is September 30, 2014. CAT is the entrance test for admission to IIMs and other premier business schools (B-schools) in India. IIM Indore will be conducting CAT 2014.

FMS, established under the umbrella of DU, offers various part-time and full-time MBA programmes and reported 100 per cent placements for the class of 2014.
